The Lady Eagles clipped the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Rangers with a 67-65 win, bringing them to a season record of 13-13, 7-11 in conference.

Junior Sierra Shipley led the Lady Eagles with 13 points followed by sophomore Kortni Barenberg with 12 and junior Anna Parish with 11.  Barenberg, Parish and freshman Lindsey McHenry all contributed five rebounds.  Freshman Lauren Rogers led in assists with five followed by Parish and Shipley with three each.

For NOSU, Renee Golliday was the leading scorer with 19 points followed by LaParis Newsom with 12 and Audrey Richmond with 11.  Golliday was also the leading rebounder with seven followed by Titania Simmons Ronita Colman each with six.  Emily Eaton's five assits led the Rangers in that category followed by Newsom with three.

NOSU started the first half strong with an nine-minute run resulting in a nine point lead.  With eight minutes left in the game, McHenry scored in the paint then followed it up with a three-pointer. This started a six minute run, resulting in three ties before NOSU took control again. The half ended at 33-27 NOSU.

The Rangers led almost the entire second half and led by as many as 13 at one point.  But JBU managed to fight back after Barenberg scored two in a row from the paint to restart JBU's final eight minute run.

Senior Chelsea Garrison tied the game up with 49 seconds left on the clock.  NOSU's Newsom scored under the basket, giving the Rangers a two-point lead with 28 seconds on the clock.  Parrish then tied it up again with a drive to the basket with 13 seconds left. Then, JBU gained possession after NOSU received a traveling call with four seconds remaining on the clock. After driving it down the court, Rogers tossed it up, the buzzer sounded, and the ball sank, giving JBU a 67-65 victory.

The Lady Eagles will take to the court again this Thursday at 6 p.m. on the road against Mid-American Christian.
