JBU Announces 2012-2013 Tuition, Room and Board and Fees

Endowed scholarships reach $1.7 million in annual awards

Siloam Springs, Arkansas (February 28, 2012) — The Board of Trustees at John Brown University recently approved the tuition and fees amount for the 2012-13 traditional undergraduate academic year. The new combined amount of tuition, room and board and fees represent an overall increase of 4.76 percent versus the previous academic year. This percentage increase is the third lowest in 24 years.

“JBU continues to offer a high quality Christian education at a competitive cost,” said Don Crandall, vice president for enrollment management. “U.S. News ranks JBU as the No. 1 best regional college in the South, and as a top-five best value. Compared to the costs of other private Christian colleges in America, we are in less expensive than two-thirds of our peers.” JBU’s value can be seen in its state-leading graduation rates, state-of-the-art facilities (60 percent of campus facilities are new or renovated in the last decade), and top-ranked academics.

JBU’s recently completed Keeping Faith Campaign increased the amount of endowed scholarship funds available each year to $1.7 million. In addition, JBU’s annual fund provides an additional $825,000 for scholarships each year. JBU has also increased institutional aid by $1.2 million over a two-year period.
