(August 27, 2003) - (Undated-AP) -- As the state wrangles with how to overhaul its public schools, one lawyer says more litigation could be on the horizon. Attorney Bill Lewellen, who successfully challenged the state school funding formula for public schools, says he's working on more legal action -- this time involving colleges and universities. Lewellen says he's doing research in preparation for filing a lawsuit over what he calls the disparity in funding among parts of the state's higher education system. Lewellen says colleges in poor areas of the state are not as well-funded as those in other areas.
