JBU Professor Elected to National Office

Siloam Springs, Ark (September 16, 2003) — Dr. Frank Niles, assistant professor of political science at John Brown University has been elected chair of the religion and politics section of the American Political Science Association (APSA) for 2003-2004. Niles was elected at the annual APSA meeting in August 2003 held in Philadelphia, Pa. The APSA is the most visible and largest association of political science professionals nationally and internationally. The religion and politics section of the association has 507 members. The chair position is nominated and elected by members. Niles’ responsibilities as chair include managing section events, developing and implementing section initiatives and acting as a liaison with the national APSA organization. John Brown University is a private university with an enrollment of more than 1,700 students from 42 states and 45 countries. JBU is a member of Arkansas’ Independent Colleges and Universities and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.
