Pryor pulls night-shift in debate
(November 12, 2003) — (Little Rock-AP) -- It's a night shift for U-S Senator Mark Pryor of Arkansas. Pryor volunteered for the graveyard shift as the Senate launches into 30 straight hours of discussion today on four of Republican judicial nominations Democrats have blocked. Pryor, a freshman Democrat, volunteered to address the chamber sometime between one o'clock and five o'clock tomorrow morning. Pryor says he will probably just talk about issues of interest to Arkansas. Pryor spokesman Rodell Mollineau says the senator will focus on the economy, education and health care. Republicans and Democrats are expected to argue about who's to blame for some of President Bush's political nominees not making it to the federal appeals bench.
