Siloam Springs, Arkansas (April 25, 2012) — The JBU men’s golf team finished 10th after shooting a three-round total of 978 at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Lubbock Christian (Texas) at The Rawls Course on April 23-24.

Individually, OCU’s Clark Collier finished first after shooting 202 after three rounds.  For JBU, West Loveland finished first and 34th overall after shooting 15-over to finish with a 231. Fellow senior Matt Brooker finished tied for 40th with a 242.  Junior Cameron Lindsey took 47th with a 250, and junior Nathan Sudheimer was 48th with a 262.  Freshman Bryce Coy rounded out the effort for JBU tying for 49th with a 263.

"This was definitely the toughest competition and course that we've played all year," said golf coach Brian Thomas.  "Overall though, we've had several bright spots this year with West winning his first individual tournament and the team picking up several top five finishes in other tournaments.  We definitely have something to build on with the new guys coming in next year, and I'm looking forward to it."
