Keep it inside...just in case...

(December 2, 2003) — (Little Rock-AP) -- The state's Christmas tree is now on display in the second floor rotunda at the Arkansas Capitol. The 20-foot tall cedar from Yell County was hauled inside yesterday. Visitors will see the tree decorated with 75 ornaments, one representing each county. The ornaments were hand-painted by members of the Arkansas Artists' Gallery in Little Rock. The inside tree became a tradition after wartime blackouts banned outdoor light displays in 1943.
