JBU Volleyball Players Named to NAIA Academic All-American

Siloam Springs, Ark. (December 8, 2003) - Seniors Jairin Schrader and Christine Matchell have been named to the NAIA Academic All-American team. Being selected as Academic All-American caps off a host of honors received by Schrader this season. Earlier, she was named to the 2nd team All-Conference and 2nd team All-Region teams. Schrader was also the Back Row Specialist of the Year in the Sooner Athletic Conference and the Defensive Specialist of the Year in NAIA Region VI. Schrader set a JBU career record for digs as she collected 1639 to surpass the old record of 1409 digs by Melody Murry.

“This is a great way to show how our players are not only good on the athletic field, but also excel in the classroom,” stated Coach Robyn Gordon on learning of the selection.
