SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (November 8, 2012) — John Brown University welcomes The Chicago Piano Duo of William Phemister and Bryan Lee to the Berry Performing Arts Center for a recital on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at 7:30 p.m.

William Phemister is a graduate of the Juilliard School, the École Normale de Musique (Paris), and the Peabody Conservatory, where he received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree. He has performed and held seminars in Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, North Korea, China and the Central African Republic. He is also the editor of the “Masterworks Piano Library,” which offers classical keyboard literature resources for the church pianist. He is a published composer with the Fred Bock Music Company and is the author of “American Piano Concertos.”

Bryan Lee performs actively as soloist, collaborative artist and church musician. Highlights 2011 include a solo recital at the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series and a duo performance at the Schubertiade 2012 music festival. He has been soloist with several orchestras in the Midwest, and has also given premieres of works by American composers, Gunther Schuller, Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, and Alex Freeman.
