Marriage Monologues Event Coming to Rogers

Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 12, 2009) – NWA Healthy Marriages, a community service of the Center for Relationship Enrichment (CRE), will offer the “Marriage Monologues” marital enrichment seminar Saturday, Oct. 24, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The event will be held at John Q. Hammons Convention Center at the Embassy Suites, 3303 Pinnacle Hills Parkway in Rogers. The cost of workshop is $39 per couple, and reservations are required.

Dr. Gary J. Oliver and Dr. Greg Smalley will be joined by Acts of Renewal, a husband and wife acting team who will not just “teach” how to have a great marriage but will “demonstrate” through hilarious performances how to cultivate conversations that strengthen relationships.

Couples will also receive a personal Couple Checkup assessment code to take online after registering for the event and leave the event with a discussion guide for ongoing couple interaction.

Northwest Arkansas Healthy Marriages was created by the Center for Relationship Enrichment thanks to a 5 year grant from the federal government to help improve the marriages in Northwest Arkansas.

Northwest Arkansas Healthy Marriages provides training both for premarital couples as well as married couples through training events, and small group opportunities.

The Center for Relationship Enrichment at John Brown University was founded in 1998. The Center’s mission is to educate, equip and enrich people for developing healthy relationships through consulting, education, enrichment, resources, research and assessment. The CRE offers marriage preparation, marriage enrichment, and relationships skills services to all of Northwest Arkansas.
