JBU Hosts Christian Business Faculty Association Conference

Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 20, 2009) – The John Brown University Division of Business recently hosted the 2009 Christian Business Faculty Association Annual (CBFA) Conference at the Embassy Suites in Rogers.

Rollin L. Ford, executive vice president and chief information officer of Walmart Stores, Inc. was the keynote speaker for the conference. Ford oversees the company’s global information systems division, a role he assumed in 2006.

“John Brown University was a founding member of the CBFA almost 30 years ago,” said Joe Walenciak, professor of business. “Several of our faculty have served as board members and have helped lead and grow the organization over the years. We are proud of what CBFA has accomplished and equally proud that we were able to bring the conference to northwest Arkansas for the first time.”

Over 200 business faculty from around the country attended the event.
